Wellness Essential Tips

It is a life-long journey to learn how to eat well, move well and think well. Wellness is about optimal wellbeing and your nutrition, your fitness and your mind all play a part in reaching your optimal wellbeing.

EAT WELL

To eat well is a very important component of your wellness. Wellness and health go hand in hand. But it is so easy to get overwhelmed with all the information present on the internet, TV, commercials, radio and amongst our friends and families.

Here are my main tips to eat well:

  • more whole foods, less processed foods
  • check the ingredients on the products
  • find a sustainable food style/choice that works for you

MOVE WELL

Exercise is Medicine! There are huge benefits in exercising and moving well is about making you feel good physically and mentally.

  • increase your physical activity and reduce your sedentary time
  • choose a physical activity that you enjoy
  • be smart about your training and consistent

THINK WELL

We need to train our mind to think positively to help us live our lives fully. It is possible to retrain our minds through neural pathways and positive psychology to achieve our visions.

  • create a vision and set up SMART goals
  • change your mindset
  • PERMA well being model: Positive Emotions – Engagement – Relationships – Meaning – Accomplishment
